It is more economical to spread the cost of shipping over a number of items, consider getting a group of friends together to place an order so you can lower the transport cost for everyone.

New Zealand

Orders over $100 are shipped free.

Order under $100 incur a $6 shipping charge.


Our system is setup to calculate shipping costs to most international destinations, you do need to proceed through the checkout process and enter your address to get a shipping price, you can cease the transaction at this stage if the shipping price is not acceptable to you. International customers (those with a billing address outside of New Zealand) do not pay local tax (GST), the tax free price will be shown once you log into our system.


Gift Certificates

Gift certificates are the perfect gift solution for any knitter in your life. So that you have something to present your favorite knitter we like to send you a good, old-fashioned, real-life gift certificate. Each certificate can easily be redeemed by entering its unique code when placing an order.

So that we can customise a certificate to your requirements please contact us to arrange something that meets your needs.



If you have any concerns regarding the products you have purchased please do not hesitate to contact us.

We do our best to accurately depict the colour of our yarns but do please be aware that varying computer monitors can display colour differently. If you are unhappy with the colour of a yarn after you have purchased it please contact us to arrange to return it for a refund of the yarn cost. Please be aware that we cannot refund postage charges in these circumstances.


Warranty Information


KnitPro stands behind all of its products. Their replacement policy is as follows:


We offer a warranty on our products for three years from the date of purchase against any manufacturing related defects. While we do not anticipate any problems, in the rare instance of a product not performing up to high standards, due to a manufacturing related reason, KnitPro offers the following customer service and return policy:

  • All defective products will be replaced by shops from which these have been purchased. Request for replacement should be accompanied by a dated receipt/invoice issued by the store.
  • In the case of needle sets (e.g. Deluxe set), replacements will be provided for the affected needle only.
  • In the case of a pair of needles (Interchangeable, Straight, etc.), KnitPro will replace the affected needle only. The same policy applies to DPNs in which case replacement would be provided for the single needle only. However for sizes up till 3.25mm where 6 DPNs are offered in Symfonie Wood, replacement will not be offered as an extra needle is already provided in the set to cover any defect.
  • No replacement for damage is offered for needles subjected to undue stress such as severe pressure or being used as tools not related to needlework.
  • All the wooden needles have the metric size printed on the main body of the needle. Due to the nature of wood, and on-going use, the printed size may wear off the wooden portion of the needle in time. Please note that this is not indicative of any defect in the needle, and will not be considered a cause for replacement.
  • The following items are not covered under our return policy:
  • Items not purchased through an authorized KnitPro dealer (e.g. eBay purchase)
  • Non-saleable sample materials
  • Any discontinued merchandise will be replaced with a similar item, as available.


Vintage Purls Yarn

The hand dyeing process is not designed to create a uniform colour so please expect a range of tones and colours in your yarn.

The wool content of our Sock yarn is treated so that it can be machine washed and the yarn is designed to withstand regular cold machine washing. We do not recommend hot machine washing or high tumble dryer heat.

Our other yarn lines should be hand washed in cool water, handle your garment with care so as to avoid felting.

Should you have any concerns or questions about our yarn please don't hesitate to contact us. If our product is found to be faulty we will replace it.



Using Vouchers

Step one:
Click the Cart button on the right hand side of the screen.

Step two:
Enter the code into the voucher box at the bottom of the cart screen.

Step Three:
Click the Add button to enter your code.


You can view all vouchers available to you in the Vouchers section of your account info.

You can't enter a code until there is something in your cart. If you are making a time pressured purchase (such as during a yarn update) you might like to pop something small into your cart as a place holder so you can enter the code in advance of the update - you can then delete that "place holder" item before completing your purchase.



Sock Yarn Sold March - July 2010

All Sock yarn sold between March and July of 2010 should be considered a hand wash only product, it has not being correctly superwash treated and as a result can felt.

You are most welcome to return any yarn from this affected period for a refund. Please get in touch for full resolution options.
